These are made to fit a 54-56 chassis. Crap shoot weather they fit a 63.

I did find out that these fit my 63. I noticed that the stock exhaust manifold connects to the intake manifold. If I use headers then do I have to get a new intake too?

Are you putting them on to try for performance improvement? If so you won't get much unless you upgrade the intake/carb etc. also. I think you can fashion a block off plate for the bottom of the intake but you will lose the heat transfer effect of the existing connection. Look at my album and see the Clifford set up. You'll notice that the Clifford uses a hot water system to warm the intake.

I am putting them on to open up the engine a bit. I drive on the highway a few days during the week to work and I have put 3.25 gears in the rear. I have bigger tires as well and it does ok at 65mph. I have just been told that these engine in their stock for are highly restrictive in the exhaust department and opening them up does wonders especially at higher rpm. so I have done the pertronix upgrade and thats helped some on smoothness. I am VERY MUCH looking forward to a 2bbl weber carb, new intake, headers and glasspacks. All the way strait out the back with the glasspacks as close to the front as I can get the in order to get a good resonation sound. Your thoughts?
