Hi, i've posted several times about replacing my clockspring. Well here's the deal. I removed it hopes of fixing it and scraped that idea and bought a new one from ford. I installed it today and have 2 stray connectors on the clockspring without a home. I don't remember if they were extra when i removed the old one. HELP. Naturally i reassembled the steering wheel and checked it out, horn worked but air bag light was still flashing. Didn't drive yet so i'm not sure about the cruise control. Does something have to be reset for the airbag light to quit ?

Go back to your Ford dealer (or maybe call the parts man) and talk to the same guy who sold you this clockspring. The original Ford part number has been discontinued, but they replaced it with the one they gave you. He will have directions on what you need to do with the two extra wires.

The wires on the new one are the same as the old one. I just can't remember if there was extra plugs on the clockspring or not. I can't find anything under the dash to plug these into. This kinda thing happens when your old and forgetfull and wait for a month to put something back together.
