1983 Ranger TK5 Shifter Assembly

1983 Ranger TK5 Shifter Assembly
My 1983 Ranger is in the shop. I'm being told that I need to replace the shifter assembly. I understand that this is a Mazda part, from a TK5 transmission. I was wondering if anyone knows if these parts are interchangable between bronco ii's of the same era. Thanks!

They would interchange with a Bronco II, which is a Ranger with different body sheet metal. The full size Bronco bears the same relationship with the Ford F-150. If the transmission is a Mitsubishi model, then you are into a different kind of animal.
What engine is in your truck?
Oops, Ford didn't start building the Bronco II until 1984. The standard V6 2.8 l. engine (170 cid) came with a 4 speed transmission.
