How can this be true?

While I like the drafting ability of Like M Fords, what does that have to do with the price of tea in China?

The drawing shows the dark green block is not the same as the original.

The Light green block is also unlike.

The gold section is again unlike the question. How can these unrelated shapes be an answer?

Stay tuned for the answer.

They are exaggerated to show how two triangles with different angles, which the origonal had, can cause the overall shape to change when their positions are changed.

The altered slope theory is the correct one. Once I read that, I imagined the green triangle placed over the corresponding area of the red one...

I didn't see it at first, but looking at the fifth line from the left point on each triangle, the red on does not come all the way up to the grid line as the green one does, therefore the angle is shallower.

The outline is definately arched slightly - and if it is convex it creates a figure that has an empty area within it.

Nice diagram! That was a well hidden difference.

How can this be true?

i built two models from the drawings and used them for wheel chocks. now my truck is sitting crooked so i suspect that the two triangles are slightly different
