King pin grease caps

All: While re-doing the IFS on my '66 F250, I find that the grease caps on the bottom of the King pin spindle housing are damaged and 1 was cross threaded. The cap is p/n C5TZ-3B167-A (and I have replacements) but I need to repair the threads in the spindle housing into which these caps are threaded.
Can anyone quote me the thread size of the caps and the threaded portion of the king pin housing they go into? Thx. Jeff

If the caps on your '66 are the same as on my '65 F250 they only have one or two threads. So if the threads in the knuckle are too chewed up to hold a regular king pin cap, a 3/4 NPT plug will screw in nicely and will hold more threads. Use pipe thread or silicone to keep grease in and water out. Will have to drill and tap the plugs for grease zerks.

In fact, the 3/4 npt plugs screw in so nicely that I tend to think they are 3/4 npt.
