Wife says I'm a Tightwad, I say I'm thrifty ... anyway, don't have a clue what you are asking for. Clarify please for us old farts.
Ha ha Jim, I feel the same way! I'm talking about deleting the fuel bowl, but using the FPR for a regulator until the spring or summer when I can buy a real regulator.
I will see if I still have it at home tonight. I followed it and it works like a charm!!! Only had to buy a couple of brass fittings, and, had to take a deep breath on the first cut on the regulator. But, I figured that if I screwed it up, then I would have to go ahead and buy a Aeromotive or equiv, so, I did it without any issues!! I even emailed him (forgot his name) and he called me directly and explained the full system and how this works and such...a great guy.
Yep that's it...there are two styles of regulators...the one pictured and the newer ones (96-97) do not have the black plastic bowl, but, the rest is exact same.
I'm in the middle of doing the Tightwad mod on a newer 97 regulator. The guide says to tap with a 3/8" npt tap but on this newer regulator it looks like a 1/4" npt tap is the biggest that would work. Anyone else run into this?
