Sputtering!!!
99 V10 with 98k on the clock I have had it about 3 weeks with no issues. Christmas Day we drive it to my wife's grandfathers and it begins to spit and sputter a little but quits. It doesn't do it the return trip home or Sunday morning when I drive it to church. Drove it to town this morning and on the return trip home it starts to do it again, it lasts about 5 minutes then goes way. Thoughts? I am thinking bad gas? Only other thing I have noticed is a erratic idle from about 900 to 1200-1300 rpm. Need to go pickup my 5er this weekend and a straight axle Toyota on Monday, I need my truck!thanks!

Yesterday I was out playing in the snow and while on the gas everything was fine. I stopped at a stop light and truck started sputtering and then died. Did it 3 times,pulled into an Oriellys and put my SCT on it and put it back to stock thinking it was the tune....nothing,popped the hood,and there layed my air filter off of my intake. Put the filter back on and smoothed everything out. Mass Air Meter apprarently was not happy getting straight air,lol. Something to check,clean your mass air meter,check connections and such. Could be bad gas too.

Update
Thanks holy shift! Will do! We drove to the beach on Saturday morning with no issues. Left Sunday morning heading back with the 5th wheel in tow and it immediately began to sputter, worse at start and going up hills. If I kept it around 2500 rpm it was happy, any less and it sputtered. Funny thing though, after about an hour of driving and sputtering, it quit! I drove the rest of the way home with no issues. Any ideas? Not gas, I drove out 2 tanks of gas with same issue.

At 98k I'm betting your running original plugs and COP boots. I would start by replacing them, and new fuel filter and possibly an air filter with cleaning the MAF and throttle body. Run some Chevron Techron in the next tank and see how she does!
