E99 intake size

I have an E99 7.3 and notice that the 99.5 and later engines have a larger size intake boot where it attaches to the heads (the part that bolts on the head is larger too). Can the part of the head where the intake boot attaches be switched with a 99.5 and later? I see that part appears to be bolted on but I don't know if there are other differences with the rest of the head structure that would make this switch useless or impossible.

Intake Size

You must have an early 99.
To change to the larger size you would have to change everything clear back to the turbo and I think including the turbo.

Check with Clay at RifRaff Diesel. He sells a kit to upgrade intake.

You might be able to find all the parts you need in a junk yard. Basicaly it is the same as the latter 99to2003 7.3L PSD
