Back in the old days of me driving a big block Thunderbird, I had one of these (it was sold as a Purolator) and it worked great. the best part is that you can pull em apart and replace the elements in them, plus a shiny chrome and glass filter looks nicer than a metal can or a plastic filter....
it kept my Tbird alive for the 200K miles i personally drove it, so i figured it's good enough for my straight six daily driver...
