they say ether is safe if you disable the glowplugs, you coud do that for a few days until you get Motorcrafts.

Or wait 10 seconds after the after glow stops then give it 1/4 of a second shot. It doesn't take much. If the engine sounds like it's going to rattle itself apart, you used too much.

didnt see where u said to do either is what i think ur talkin about. how would u disable glow plugs?

either pull the caps off of them or kill the main power feed

ok thanx for all the help guys ill order the motorcraft ones and pull the caps off the old ones and giver a shot of snot for now.

Cover the terminals with tape. You DO NOT want those terminals to ground out.

Did you find a block heater? If it works it will make a big difference with out glow plugs working.

im gonna look tomarow were gettin a snow storm today. yes i bet it does! i looked for a external plug the other day but couldnt find one.

If the cord is missing you can buy them separately. I think the cords go bad more often than the heaters.
