Dont try to do IFS from another ford Donor. Not a damn part will fit. Bite the bullet and go Solid. Your transmission is gonna be the most expensive item. You will have to either swap it to 4x4 (which means gutting the whole damn thing from nose to tail) or buy a 4x4 trans. Shortening the fuel tank to clear the tcase also gave me the *******. Connecting the transfer case shifter caused me some grief.

UJOR makes all the parts. I fabbed many of my own, but figured out several of their parts are much cheaper than doing it yourself. Especially their front axle conversion kit (CK001 like, 550 bucks). It includes spring mounts and shackles needed to convert the front end to solid axle. You will need to handle springs as well as brakes and steering (though he kits and services/parts for that too.)

He also has a 250 dollar kit to put a 1 ton sterling axle on the back of your van. I didnt go with the sterling, but its not a bad option

Yeah, you can see why I am ~6k into mine Doing it yourself will save you SOME, but there are a lot of places where you can look to a pro and see why you should get them to do it. I've built a few dozen trail crawlers, including one from scrach, but knew my van would be mostly on road. Lots of my offroad building experience didn't mean **** for onroad use. Particularly for steering, alignment, and suspension geometry (stupid sway bar links.)

Edit to add: You need to generate 8000 pulses per mile for the speedometer/PSOM. If you have an ABS van, you need to generate ~77800 pulses per mile at the rear diff. You need a 108 or 112 tooth ring depending on what the van shipped with. You CANNOT modify the speedometer signal if you still want the trans to shift correctly. You can reprogram the PSOM for the new gear ratio however (without tools!)

thank you 95e150CW that was a mouth full there...lol
I plan on a simpler approach. i am putting a pickup 38 gal tank in the rear and getting rid of the side tank completely, and tanking the e4od apart and putting in the 4x4 out put shat and then mounting a 1356 case, with a dana 44 high pinion 8 lug front end radius arms and coils still in the front. at least thas my plan and i will post my progree on here and or my screw ups..LOL
