I know we have worked on a bunch of them, but off hand I can't recall if they were built well or not. Lots of shops out there just don't know how to properly address the Poppet valve wear in the top of the injector and that's were the majority of issues pop-up.
I love this statement in their eBay ad:
"**Mylex International rebuilds more powerstroke injectors than anyone**"
How can anyone really say that? How in the world can they even know what anyone else does as far as production numbers?
This statement alone would make me reconsider buying anything from them without really knowing anything about them.
But maybe it's just me.
They've been around for a while now and if they are local, give them a shot if you want. I love to deal with local businesses as well when I can.
EDIT: Also, make sure to find out what exactly they mean by "Rebuilt". Some shops just Overhaul them and call them Rebuilt. To me there is a HUGE difference, and make sure to find out EXACTLY what was done to the injectors like new Nozzles, Plunger & Barrels, etc.
Save your self the headache and send them to Jim (Rosewood Diesel). Injectors aren't hard to R&R but I wouldn't want to pull them twice in the same day.
There are very few people left that stand behind there work and Jim is one that will.
That's what I was wondering. I've never used Jim before but based on his rep he now at the very moment in time has a box of eight injectors from me. If you would like the UPS tracking number to prove it I will provide it.
