I run the power service usually. Probably the best bang for the buck is to fill the fuel filter every few tanks, run 30 seconds , then let it sit as long as possible. That way your pump and injectors get a really strong dose at first, then it will mix in the tank.
I just scored 2 cases of 2 stroke oil for free so I'm going to be running that the next 24 tanks or so.
I split a 32 oz bottle of Diesel Kleen (silver bottle) between the tanks at every fill-up. I wish I had a great answer as to why I do it, but I do. I only fill up every month or so, so no big whoop on the cost.

WHAT!?!?...once a month...im lucky if i make it through week...and im still averageing 18 mpg's..lol
Been there, done that. Used to have a 73-mile commute (one way) for a couple of years. Never again.

That's what my dad says, back when we lived far out in the country, my parents both had a 65 mile each way commute to work from 1991-1999.
That's how my dad put 300k miles on the F250 in only 8-9 years. Then from 2000-2010 he only put around 75k on it living closer to the city, he would take the bus to work, so it sat around most of the time.
The longest i've ever had to travel to work was this past summer, with my van around 30 miles each way. Not that far, but it does get long with no FM radio, no OD and 4.10 gears
did you install a turbo calibrated ip when you did your turbo install?
is it like super flat where you live? hwy miles right?
sorry 250 didnt see your questions there. but im still running the same ip and injectors that was in it. not sure what injectors are even in it, there were donw just before i bought the truck along with the ip so ive never messed with them. lol yea its pretty flat here in West Central Ohio, my drive is mostly state routes and interstate now.. . thats what that 5 speed gets you..lol
I've been running Stanadyne's 'Performance Formula' at every fill-up for 16yrs. now, i'm closing in on 400K miles, all original engine (2.2 Perkins), i'm not attributing that solely to the additive of course, but it's only a few dollars more at each fill-up, small price to pay for peace of mind imo.
montana_highboy,that's not a small price though friend.if you added up all the money over that 400k miles you'd probably cry.
Reduces Fuel Consumption - independent tests show gains up to 9.6% in MPG
4 ounce per 15 gallons isn't going to gain .1% let alone almost 10% lol!
all those magic juices make such far fetched claims.
fortunately some of them get sued for the more susceptible who don't know any better (politely saying the gullible lol.) http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2001/02/zmax1.shtm
