I'd be curious what the tag on the back reads... or to see an image of it the stereo... or what the Ebay ad alleged. So far, all we have to go on is "factory am/fm single cd radio"... and that could be from a 1994 Dodge Dakota.
Okay Tug, give me a little credit. There are several FORD radios that will intermix, the key thing for our years are the two holes on each side of the face, that one would insert a tool (coat hanger will work) to release it from the dash. The add said it fits Crown Vic, Ranger, Exploder, etc. Robin, that is great resource if I knew the exact year and model. My owner's manual covers most of the radio options, not this one. I probably stared at the thing 10 minutes trying to find a clk button. As it turns out, this radio uses the RDS button for some settings, clock is one of them. My wife insisted it stay in the box until christmas, so the seller isn't available yet.
Oh well, it all turns out great, sounds very good, as I mentioned the layout of factory stereos are more friendly to my eyes. Aftermarket things that jam too much into too small of a space, not my thing.
I do appreciate the replies.
I just hope it's got an input for your karaoke mike
Funny. I only sound good in the shower.
But, funny you say that. Earlier in the year there was someone on ebay who refurbishes radios and adds an input jack on the front for mp3, etc..
Kind of a nice touch.

Credit gleefully given... I should have put a yankin'-your-chain emoticon in there. I'm glad you found the solution... it beats having a 12:00 flashing in your face all the time, like a rabid microwave.

On my 99 F250 I picked up a Blaupunkt double din from a Ford Focus and it was a straight drop in ! Reason I got it because it played MP3's . Had a lot of other neat features and the price was right!

The Ford (it was either from a Focus or Mariner) head unit I purchased and installed uses a "Mode" button for setting the clock, speed controlled volume settings, etc. I can even splice in a connection from the speedo wiring to activate the SCV as a "new" feature which did not come with our stock units.

Hello I owned a 6.0 ford before getting my 7.3, the radio had the speed volume control in the 6.0, but the 6.0 radio would not fit in the 7.3 dash, are you saying the focus and mariner radio, or you are not sure if it is a focus, or mariner radio has the speed control, and will fit in the 7.3 dash?
I just went back and verified that the head unit I purchased was from a 2007 Ford Escape. I had not remembered correctly in my earlier post. It fit into my F250's double din mounting bracket perfectly, the wiring harness connectors were a perfect fit, and the Escape head unit does have the SCV feature built into it... I just have not yet spliced into my cruise control wiring (not speedo or throttle position) to enable the SCV, but I have the wiring diagrams for both my truck and the 2007 Escape stereo system configurations, so it's just a matter of chasing down the correct wire for the splice.
My F150 Lightning has an RDS button that sets the clock. Just like this pic:
My Wife's Ex has a menu button that set's the clock.
Stewart
That is what is so friggen awesome here. My right click isn't clicking and pic didn't post, and Stewart posts "my" radio for me. Push the rds and get clock change!
Thanks.
My right click isn't clicking and pic didn't post,
Just FYI, there was something wrong with the link you posted with the image tags. I had to edit your post and remove the Photobucket link because it was messing with the thread, not allowing it to load properly.
