been a while since i been on here fellers. since last time weve talked i got rid of my obs and got a 6.0 SD. i posted in the 6.0 forum with not much help so im reaching out to those of you who have helped me before for some help. here's the info.
03' F-250 CCSB 6.0 4x4 84k miles
symptoms:
throttle hesitation, sometimes no throttle at all, intermittent loping, white/ blue smoke when reved up to 2500rpm, will not rev passed 2500, turbo lag, seems to have lost power, occasional stalling, after rev truck drops to 400 rpm. and the other night when i pulled into my driveway the truck stalled and wouldnt start on the first try. it tried to but didnt. the secont try it stumpled and slowly came up to idle. when i reved it the other day it also stalled and barely fired up.
could a failed hpop cause this? sorry for the post in the wrong thread but i know you guys better than anyone on here. thanks and merry xmas
Howdy! Could a clogged EGR do this? On my buddies 6.0, when his HPOP failed, it failed and wouldn't run. Not sure if yours is going or what. Can you put a mech gauge on it like you can the OBS? Sorry I'm not much help, but here's a bump and Merry Christmas as well!
I could not get the EBP to read. As well as the EPV. It had no reading at all not even 0. However here are the other results via SGII
BAR- 14.3
FLP- 14.0 vlts (truck running) 12.5 vlts (truck off)
FMP- 48-48.5 vlts (truck running)
FVP- 14.0 vlts (truck runing) 12.5 vlts (truck off)
ICP- 800-803 (truck running) 250 (truck off)
ICV- 1.05 vlts (truck running) .44 vlts (truck off)
IPR%- 18.2-19.3 (truck running) 14.4 (truck off) 41.5 @ 1500 rpm power brake
MPV- 1
BST (boost)- 6.6 psi @ 1500 rpm power brake
sometimes ficms will read 48v at idle then as you speed the engine off it starts to drop off just letting you know they do that among other things also pop your egr valve off and see if it is sticking or coked up with carbon allowing it to hang open
took the truck out tonight and it acted ok. FICM voltages were within spec per SGII. after it reached 180*F water temp it started acting up. heres the reading for ICP and IPR% while it was doing this. the conditions were at idle in drive with 99% throttle and no throttle response, idle in drive with a miss, and idle in park. ICP 960-1000 and IPR% 19.0-20.7. any ideas? im curious if its in the HPOP somewhere
