2000 F150,5.4,suddenly started missing

Driving home from work my truck engine suddenly started missing. Has a miss at idle as well as acceleration. Going to try to get it to Autozone for a free OBDII scan to get started. Will post the results. I am suspecting a coil that I have heard so much about. This engine has a coil for each cylinder. I have heard that 1 or more of these goes bad. Have done nothing major to the truck since I have owned it.125K miles.

probably right....see several threads relating to the COP's.
unless you are good at trouble shooting and have a lot of time, you might want to replace them all.

Spark plug gaps are probably too large from high mileage wear and are taxing your coils.
