The Remote

I gotta tell my tale...

THE TV REMOTE

Everyday when I come home I want to watch tv, So I get some lemonaid and sit down and grab the remote.....
Ready to watch a movie or anything good....
Well can't find the remote, look up and down in the couch, under it,in the chairs, under them, ask the wife did she hide my clicker....
So I get mad and hot and just sit on the hard floor and change channels with the tv buttons... (Yes I am lazy)
So this goes on for about 2 weeks...
O i found it, it was under a speaker stand and my wife had some plants by it so I would have never found it..How did it get there????I dunno man, maybe the dog
So two days with my remote sitting on the couch changeing the channels and drinking tea..
Next day I get home can't find the remote,I get mad and look and look, can't find it..So I sit once again on the hard floor..We find it stuck way up in the sofa...So that was another week, and when I got it,the batteries were dead..Haha and guess what,we are out of AA and AAA batteries....
So I am to tired to run to the nearest town to get any, so I sit on the hard floor once again and wait for the weekend when my wife goes to the store...
She bought me my batteries...Put them in and enjoy the day...
Hmm get home Monday and well I'll be damned the remote is gone....sigh what is this some kind of sin thats placed on me..This happens all the time. I mean every year I go through this same thing every month.....
The Remote gods hate me......
I am thinking about just useing the old stick the remote to the tv when your done method.....

Tie some string on the little bugger, then tie it to your favorite chair. They design these remotes so that they will slip into strange places, you can't change the channel and that is how they force you to watch commercials. Once the remote is lost, we can't scan around when the commercial comes on.

You could try:
Putting it in a safe every night.
Tie a long string to it.
Chain it to something.
Get one of those keychains that make a noise when you whisle, and fasen it to the remote.

The key is multiple remotes. I have three (3) just for the television in my room here. One sits on the desk where I am currently typing, one on the table next to my recliner, and one on my night stand. And yes, I once lost all three at once.... there had to have been foul play!

Man, that's too bad. I think that HOME & GARDEN should be cancelled off television. What a waste of a channel!!!!

Velcro, man. A piece on the back of the 'mote, and put a piece on the side of the chair, top of the table, cieling, tv stand, wall, butt crack, where ever it's convenient, not in the way, and it'll stay put.

As far as the multiple 'mote idea, NO WAY. I already have 4 in the living room, 4 in the bedroom, 1 in the truck, that's enough.
Besides, nothing like playing duelling remotes with someone when they don't want to watch the show you're watching...

Another little fun with 'motes idea... Everyone's got their favorite local sports bar with a bunch of TVs. My friends and I bought a cheapo universal mote, programmed it to work on the TV closest to the end of the bar we always sat at, and, bingo, we got just a little closer to the comforts of home, with a bartender.. OK, so I used to spend too much time in bars.

Get one of the new remotes that will locate itself for you with a loud beeping. Of course, you have to find the thing that enables the beep. Maybe you could keep that on your keychain.

I only loose my remote when somebody female forgets to put it back. I Always sit in the same leather recliner I have sat in for years, I only put the remote on the side table next to me, and I NEVER move it - just reach out, and hit whatever button where it lays, on the table pointed at the TV. The last one I velcroed to the table, but this one is just sitting there. Sarah is the culprit who usually moves it, so I bought her a really nice easy chair, and put it next to me, table between us, so she has no reason to MOVE THE REMOTE!!
