Good catch on ebp that was v not psi. Rechech on that is ebp koeo13.8, at idle 17.4 at 2500 rpm went to 34.3 psi. On way to work as power would stumble seemed to have more white smoke then tranny would shift andit cleared up. Thanks again for any help seems like a ficm repair soon

Changed out EBP sensor and ran hard bendable plastic down tube, all clear.

Re do on the tests ICP koeo .0, idle 678 2500rpm 1425
ICPv 0.24, 0.97, 1.59/ IPR 14.84, 27.73, 42.97/
BARO 13.67, 13.67, 13.67
EBP 13.8, 16.3, 26.7
MAP 13.70, 13.77, 18.03
FICMmp 47.5 TO 48.0, 48.0, 48.0
VOLTS 12.3, 13.56, 13.56

At high idle running rough didn't want to be there kindof cutting out but not really. did not have much white smoke, think i am gonna do a bubble test and see if injectors are problem. Any thoughts on the ficm?? Get new EBP tomorrow too.

By the way still no DTC's

EBP Still to High if taken in Park Engine AT 2500RPM

These below are FORD Specs
EBP 103 (15) 110 (16) 110 (16) 55 - 607 (8 - 88) kPa (PSI) Exhaust Pressure
EBP_V 0.8 1.2 1.3 0.4 - 4.7 VOLT Exhaust Pressure
EBP DSD 3.26 2.43 2.13 PSI Exhaust Pressure Desired

Looks like its time for a New EBP Sensor

Are there any specific causes for this part to fail? This is second one but I got codes the first time around.

The EGR System Pumps SOOT Back into the Engine it jacks up the sensors along the way

Some of you issues might be from Poor Combustion From a Bad thermostat

Sounds like your Thermostat is Having a Hard time if you drove 50 miles and Couldnt Break 178*

Replace the thermostat with Ford Part and add Cetain Booster to each tank will Help

Ultimatly a EGR Deleate would be the Best Solution IMO and STOP Recycling SOOT Back into the engine this recycled soot is Hard on EVERYTHING

Alright i will look at the tstat, has been running unusually cool, barely above lower line on gauge. Havn't cleaned EGR in a while will attack that too.

Any ideas on the white/blue smoke?

Fix everything we talked about here and should go away

With the Bad EBP Reading Being High PSI the PCM is overfueling to compensate

Al right fellas NO JOY,

changed out EBP sensor, still rough running excess gas smell in exhaust new values, these are with the new sensor and temp of 197F.

KOEO IDLE 2500RPM
Baro 14.64 14.64 14.64
EBP 14.5 17.0 23.3
MAP 14.61 14.68 17.69
ICP 4.5 578.98 1440.09
ICPv 0.25 0.86 1.61
IPR 14.84 23.44 42.19
FICM 47.5 48.5 48.5
VOLTS 12.38 13.56 13.69

cleaned the EGR yesteerday and seemed stuck closed. no improvement from that, did get more white smoke from the exhaust and seemed more sluggish when making my drive.

1- now what?
2- FICM never seems to go below 47.5 and usually at 48.5. Could it still be bad?
3- Also noticed some light oiling ontop of oil filter cover- no obvious source I can see.

Thanks for all help.

Terry

EBP still seems alittle High it did get alot better from before

Does this truck have the Mufflwer and Cat????

If so maybe Undo the Exhaust Clamp at back turbo and Let it Vent there start it and see if runs Better

I wonder about 2 things At the Moment
Plugged exhaust (Since still High EBP at High Idel 2500rpm)
Chaffed or Bad wires to and from EBP sensor to PCM

Use a DVM to check for Shorted EBP Wires

couple things to try anyway
