Anyone Read Plugs?

'03 5.4 gas motor, changed plugs at 165,946 miles:

Supposedly changed at 100K miles but not sure, just looking for any input about their condition or whether there's something amiss inside the engine?

Will say plug #3 was loose, thought it was a leaking exhaust stud at first. It did torque down properly and hold with the new plug.

Thanks in advance guys----looking forward to any thoughts or ideas!

#2 & 7 have signs of pre-ignition (pinging), #8 is a little lean (but not unusual)- of course photos can be a little decieving but assuming they have 50k miles on them, aside from the electrodes appearring a little worn, the porclin color looks good...I don't see any carbon build-up which would indicate leaks...I would say I would run a little better grade of fuel and it looks good!

Thanks BK! I see the similar appearance to the electrodes in plugs #2 & #7 now that you mention it.

I will run the better gas, perhaps changing to the 89 octane and adding Techron occasionally.
