ILLUMINATED ENTRY DOME LIGHT
2008 E250 - How do we turn the illuminated entry off/on ?
Problem is the Omega alarm needs the dome light activation to activate with all doors. I am assuming that is true from continuous trial and error.
With the illuminated entry off, I only get the driver's door to activate the alarm thru the door ajar switches. And if the rear door light - bulb was removed to save batt power - is grounded then the rear door ajar switch signals the alarm.
No wire inside the passengers door wire run or the 'correct' beige wire at the kick panel control box will activate passenger;s door or cargo door door ajar alarm signal circuit.
Instructions herein indicate the remote key fob unit turn Illuminated entry off/on but not how to do that.
