Defogging

Since this is my first winter owning an 02 explorer, I was wondering if it always had a hard time defogging the windows? Like on my windshield there's a spot in the middle where it seems like the heat doesn't hit.

have you looked into the vents to see if something may have fallen in there and blocking part of it. The middle is what usually takes the longest for me too but not to much longer.
