conversion information for a newbee

I'm a newbee on this site, stumbled across it doing some research and thought id join in and get some feedback / information. I have a 68 f100 longbed, original 390 3 on the tree. Bought the truck for a project a year ago, enjoyed driving it but got my mind made up a few months ago to sell the tired 390 and old 3 speed and go to a 302 5 speed. Here's where im at. I have a 1991 302, stock bore and pistons, gt40 heads, 1.6 roller rockers, edelbrock torker II intake, holley 650, Mallory unilite distributor, aluminium pulleys and shorty headers. I pulled a 5 speed transmission out of a 1998 mustang with the 3.8 motor, everything from the dust plate to the yoke. The million dollar question I have......can i use the clutch set and flywheel along with the starter from the 3.8. I know im going to have to modify my clutch set up to accommodate a cable clutch or trade bellhousings and going to have to get a driveshaft made, just mainly curious about the flywheel and clutch. The harmonic balancer is the original 50 ounce for the motor. The flexplate that was attached to my motor when i got it is 164 tooth and the flywheel from the 3.8 is 164 tooth. Any info appreciated!!
