Engine hours?

Is their any way to check the engine hours on the 99-03 7.3 trucks. I know my 6.0 could check it on the dash. Just curious is all. My Truck spends a lot of time idling.

My truck don't have that option. I don't know any 7.3 with hour meters from factory.

Unless someone installed an aftermarket hour meter. Even the ambulances never had a stock one until 05. On a diesel one hr idle time = 6.5-7 miles of driving wear and tear. (.3 gal an hr)
