Underhood lights

I could be wrong but I believe my truck originally came with two of these neat looking underhood lights which are still attached to the horn area.

I guess first if I plan to use these I will have to change the bulbs since I now have 12 volts. Does anyone know if a bulb is avail still for these and is it a common Napa item they would recognize.

Also does anyone have any idea which ( out of the many ) toggle switches that I have on my dashboard ( old fire truck ) would have worked these. I would like to try and put it back the way it was. Thanks

That looks just like a period correct clearance light. My guess, an add on. But, I've been wrong before. Pictures of the switches may be an indicator? Follow the wires?

I wish it were that easy, no more old wiring, someone clipped the wires right at the lights as they are now. I wired up the lights to my jump box and they did not blow out, bright as hell but maybe someone already converted the bulbs over to 12 volt.

Its been a few years ( so its hard for me to remember ) but I think someone may have already converted this truck ( in a half mule way ) over to 12 volt before I came along.

I will just wire it into one of the toggle switches on the dash and hopefully someone will come by that can confirm whether they were an option originally or aftermarket. Thanks

They're just an add-on like raytasch stated. The light is a plain old clearance light.

The original optional equipment lamp can be seen below.

Interesting, thanks, I did find the original toggle switch under the hood near the front. I prefer the way I have it with switch on the dash. They work great
