I did search for o2 sensor on this forum and google. It located on exhaust pipes between manifold and catalytic converter. So I crawled under the truck. I do not see anything. Nothing.. My truck doesn't have catalytic converter (1987 f250 and up was the last year with no cat). Do 1987 Ford F250 7.5 (460) carburetor engine have o2 sensor? Can you tell me where?
Reason why I want to put new o2 sensor is because for last a month, the truck has running rich, hesitated, feel like misfiring and poor fuel mileage. I put new spark plugs, dis. wires, dis. cap this past summer. The air filter is new and clean. Wasn't sure if carb need to be cleaned or rebuilt/replace but the symptoms matched what bad o2 sensor would be. Thanks guys!
guess it need carb rebuild or replacing. It's a original carburetor so i figure after 25 years, time to change it. hopefully it'll solve those bogging, hesitation, almost feel like dying when taking off. And maybe fuel mileage too.
