Gauge lights

Just got a 2012 Super Duty. I notice during the day if you have your lights on the dash gauge lights go out. This makes it difficult to read them with sun glasses on. Is there a way I can override this feature?

Is this the DRL feature? If i remember correctly it can be disabled by the dealer in the programming of the SJB. There is no manual way of doing it.
