no gauge lights
i have a buddy that has no gauge lights but when he presses the brakes they come on and stay on the entire time he holds the break, also the climate controls dont light up till he steps on the breaks as well. they worked when he bought the pickup. he melleted some wires i think the tail light wires and somthin for the fuel. he took it in and had them all replaced, but when he got it back the gauge lights and climate control lights didnt work. it is a 1993 7.3 supercab long box 4x4 5 speed tranny. any ideas to get them workin again?

possibly bad taillight grounds causing the power from the brake lights to backfeed up the system, or the guy got his wires crossed.
many shops won't stand behind their work at all, others will. give them a chance to get it right, and if they don't, its in your hands to fix your truck and report the shop to the BBB
