There are so many kits out there for the Egr delete and oil cooler replacement. I was just wondering which DIY kit was best to go with. Thanks for your time---Stan.
Weld freeze plugs into the exhaust inlet and outlet of the cooler and remove the scoop from the uppipe and weld in a freeze plug. It retains the stock look and by leaving the EGR valve still in and plugged in it does not set any codes.
Uh i would recommend Rudys Diesel kit on EBay for like $420. Comes with intake mani. gaskets. Definitly delete EGR uppipe too and replace with the delete pipe to ensure no leaks. Weld can break over time especially exhaust welds. You wont be disappointed with the kit.
I would still recommend leaving in the EGR valve for proper computer function and im pretty sure inspection stations really only look for the main valve. Alot of 6.0l owners dont even know where the EGR cooler is.

Agreed! Do it right the first time so it's the only time you'll have to do it!
