Prayers.....

I just wanted to take a second to think about the families of the 20 small children and 6 teachers who lost their lives in the shooting in CT. As parents and grandparents, we all need to remember those children and teachers, pray for their families, and be thankful that we have our loved ones with us today.

Such a tragedy. Prayers sent.

All those babies woke up friday morning thinking about X-mas and looking for the elef on the shelf not knowing they would become angles that's day.

All because of one F-ing dumb azz instead of those parents buying X-mas presents they have to burry their babies.

So so sad.

It's unreal. And now instead of support for the families we get people pushing agendas. Little kids, I don't think it gets much sicker than that.

Amen to that Bill. Thoughts and prayer to all who lost family and friends in this horrific event. Special prayer for all the children that will have to live with this for the rest of their lives. We all lost, my heart aches.

I hadn't even thought about them having to deal with Christmas. Presents already under the tree, and yet they somehow still have to go on with their lives and help build a life for all the brothers and sisters affected by this.

Prayers is about the only thing that will get them through this, and they certainly have mine.

As a grandparent I can't imagine loosing one of my grandbabies. Pray for the families and friends of course but we also need to lift up this entire nation. Some may not like it or agree with me but we need to ask God to come back in and guide this country.

I Have an update, I'm not sure how well some of you know about AWTFM(Army WTF moments, but this is what they found, and what I read earlier this afternoon. check the link for the information. as it's too long to post, but i will give the gist in the below write up.

Westboro Baptist Church To Picket Sandy Hook Elementary, Praise God For Shooting

To the Mods, this information is to bring awareness, nothing more.

The group Anonymous has also "retrieved" contact information on WBC which can be found using Google, as I won't post their link on this forum, if you choose to write an e-mail, or make a phone call to voice your displeasures.

Such needless hatred to Parents suffering already enough. It's bad enough when they picket military funerals, for those of us who have given the ultimate sacrifice. But children?! That has crossed the line. The families who have lost, and are forced to bury their children this Christmas, Hanukkah, Quanza, or any other religious practice you partake in, shouldn't have to endure more suffering than the loss of their children. Don't let them be be attacked by this hate group.

Such needless wanton violence makes me wonder what hope we have if humanity is to continue down this path, of "it didn't happen to me, why should I care" kind of attitude. Beleive what the news tells you, or get the information your self. So if you didn't already know about the WBC's plan to picket the funerals, you do now. Even if they don't random people showing up to give their condolences gives me hope that people will be brought together, even when there isn't such a terrible tragedy of 26 massacred individuals. And at the hands of a gutless coward, who took his own life, than to face judgement and the wrath of all those who he tore their lives apart, I hope there is a special place in He'll for him.

If the WBC is allowed to picket the funerals(unless they already have), anyone in the vicinity should be there to form a wall, to protect those who have already lost so much. If we need to have faith in humanity, let it be random people stepping up to show their support, in more than one way.

On a closing note:

I plan to get the list of the names of the families as they are released, and collect donations for flowers, or pay for it all myself. But I plan to have flowers delivered to them, to show all our support, and for those, or some of us, prayers and kindness.

Prayers sent. Been praying all weekend.

And even though it is sad, I'm sure everyone circles back around to the hatred (or at least I did) they feel towards the man who did this. Just know that hate in your heart doesnt make it any better. Im sure hate in his life is what drove him to do such a ##### (insert descriptive word of your choice) thing.

Not sure how to describe things via text on how I feel. I didnt major in english, but here are some quotes cuz other people put things in words better than I.

"If you want to forget something or someone, never hate it, or never hate him/her. Everything and everyone that you hate is engraved upon your heart; if you want to let go of something, if you want to forget, you cannot hate."

“I have decided to stick to love...Hate is too great a burden to bear.”

"Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.”

We are just beside ourselves here.
My daughter just started Kindergarten this year, and for many that don't know I live in C******, where on Feb 26, 2012 a student walked into the high school here and shot 5 people, 3 of which were students who died.

With our own daughter in Kindergarten and with what happened at the high school, is there no where safe for our kids? We are in a small town that violence just isn't generally on our minds. It just shows you what can happen anywhere at any time.

Extra hugs and kisses for our daughter everyday....
