ok i have a 93 f150 with the 300 6 i have an air fuel ratio guage that i would like to install but i dont know which wire is the signal wire on my o2 sensor it is a 4 wire sensor does anyone have a wiring diagram handy for me or know off hand which one i need to be splicing into
You need to buy a wide-band oxy sensor and a weld on bung, and weld it onto your exhaust. The stock narrow-band wont work for your guage, but you need to retain it for closed-loop operation.
What brand and style gauge do you have? Does it just have a series of LEDs that are labeled rich to lean or does it have an actual numerical scale with numbers from about 10-18? If it's just the rich/lean gauge then it can be tapped into the factory sensor but it'll just swing back an forth like in the link below most of the time when the system is in closed loop, and it will peg at rich when you have the pedal floored and the computer switches to open loop.
