Where is the best place to get an IDM? The guy that bought Tyler's green truck just stopped by, and he has another '97 reg. cab that the pass. side bank of injectors shut down. He brought his IDM up here and I shook it, and it's full of water. He wants to order a new one, so I told him I'd ask you guys where was a good place to get them and let him know. Thanks!
I'm not getting it, just looking for someone else. I told him the SD ones would work and were higher voltage, I guess he'll decide which one he wants. I thought this price was good.
I don't know why, but I've always been leery of buying electrical parts off ebay.
Honestly if you go through paypal they are all about the buyer. If you get it and you say that it doesn't work, 9/10 times they are gonna go against the seller. The vast majority of people have a return period, and even more than that, if they don't paypal will get your money back. It really sucks as a seller. I've had people file bogus complaints on me before. Apparently many sellers were sending out perfectly good electrical parts and people were swapping bonk broken ones and sending them back. I caught onto this early on, and I took my stamping set or electrical pen and serialed things (if they didn't have them). I took a photo of the piece next to a timestamped article. I had one guy try it on me, but I guess he got in trouble with paypal after trying to defraud me.
I use Paypal as well and I have not had a problem yet, and in some cases got it rather quickly...when you compare with dealer prices ....Dipaco is the most money but they have a 1 year warranty and are a quality unit ...I also like the Swamps unit....
