How many miles does it take to break the 6.0 in?
i am getting like 13 miles a gallon on a full tank.. im at 2k miles whats the break in point?

I would agree with FRT Member -- about 10,000 - 12,000. Your mileage should continually increase up to that point.

buy a gas powered truck
try driving it like a car
most test drives i have been on with the owner driving has been bad for fuel mileage
the peddle is always on the floor or on the brake and they are always talking about power and sound
well the more you use the power the more fuel you use

Wow! 13 MPG?? I've put about 2400 miles on my F-550 6.0 and am averaging 16.8 mpg with about a ton in the bed. Have not had any problems yet, but am wary with all the posts I have seen. I LOVE my new truck and look forward to many years pulling my 10 ton trailer. Thanks for listening to a new user, this is my first post.
