Our hearts go out to all the families in this tragedy. Think about this a guy puts a bomb in his shoe boards an airplane gets caught before anything happens thank goodness and from now on everyone has to remove our shoes to be checked before we can get on an airplane. Why not put a well armed guard and video cameras too check anyone going into a school surly our kids are worth the cost Dave S

At one time while I was A deputy Sheriff,I worked at the local High school as a security guard.We wore are uniforms and badges from the sheriffs office.The school decided that we should not be armed,as this would send the wrong message.All three of us that worked there at the time, quit,We couldn't believe they wanted us to be at the school but unable to respond to something like what happened Friday.To many live in a fairytale world where everything will be OK,If we just show a little love.Doc talked about only worrying about what to have for lunch,Well I remember,hiding under a desk,during a nuclear bomb drill.As a kid that made you think.
