i hate to ask because i know these are stupid questions but where is cylinder number 3 and where are the glow plugs ive tried searching on here but cant find this info. im guessing cylinder #3 is drivers side second one back and the glow plugs are in the side of the head not under the valve cover, right? and i know i need to ohm out the wire harness but what plug am i looking for? and any recomendations on brands of glow plugs and do parts shops carry the wire harness or is it a dealer only part?

Havent had any glowplug problems so dont know about parts. I wouldnt trust anyone but Ford anyway. No vehicle is specific as the 6.0. But do you have the Haynes manual On these trucks? Mines out in my truck but im sure it tells u where all cylinders are and firing order. Im sure theres doityourself stuff on glowplugs too.

I think that 1-3-5-7 is on pass side and 2-4-6-8 on drivers...... sitting in drivers seat #1 is furthest front on pass side.

 

ok i went out and looked i found the glow plug and the wire harness connector, i will try to get an ohm reading later. any recomendations on brand. and what does it mean if wire harness is oily
