Overdrive Light
Hi all,
My '93 F250 e4od overdrive light is flashng. I've done a search on flashing overdrive lights on trucks that have the e4od tranny.
From what I can tell so far, it can be a couple of reasons. One, tranny problems, and two, wires that are shorting out in the steering column due to rubbing.
I figure I should try and see if the latter isn't the culprit before I spend money on an diagnosis.
My question is: My flashing overdrive light flashes intermittently.
Sometimes it flashes very rapidly, sometimes the flashing is about 1 sec a part, and sometimes it doesn't flash at all -it works fine.
For those that discovered their flashing light was due to wire chaffe, what was your light doing in terms of flashing?
I've just come back from a 2 week vacation bouncing around logging roads if this helps...
