yeah the high beams, the blue light on the gauge cluster comes on but the lights thems self turn off, i did the LMC wiring harness upgrade months ago, worked great, then brights just stopped working. wasnt sure if i had some of my wiring shorting out or if it might be the floor switch
that truck is an 88 there was no such thing as CD players back then. it has the stock AM FM radio in it set to a local country station.
Was about to say the same thing... us bricknoses didnt come with CD players....(and being a young fart Ill probbly fix that eventully, especially since its a tow rig and I dont always have radio reception)
with open 4 inch stacks, the only time you hear the radio in my truck is when the engine is shut off anyway.
so i really have no need to upgrade the radio.

That what they make amps and big speakers for...
But I know what you mean Tom, I think some of the young ones here are poking some fun at you
I have had the same issue on two trucks, 86 and 90. Took the dimmer switch off of the floor and it was rusted and corroded, didn't lights the lights on one side. Change with a different dimmer switch, problem solved. It seemed like it was changing from bright to dim but it actually wasn't. Good luck
