Routine Maintenance Question

Great forum, I just bought a 2002 F350 diesel 4X4 last week. I don't know any of the routine maintenance but the truck was owned by a single woman who died. I have changed all the fluids (I use Amsoil in everything) but I took manual hubs off and they were dry. Does this suggest I go further, ie wheel bearings? Almost forgot, the truck has 162,000 miles on it.

Keep all the filters Motorcraft or Donaldson, period. Are you talking about the factory ESOF hubs? I usually keep mine (Warn premium manual hubs) full of grease to keep the salt/dirt out of them.

Take it out for a short drive (a few miles) and then feel the wheels with your fingertips. If the bearings are going, there should be a lot of heat from friction.

When I bought my truck, the Carfax had a lot of maintenance info. I was surprised how much (it was a former fleet lease, so that may be why). Wonder if it would show anything for yours?
