There are 2 versions of this wheel. One for the stock turbo and one for the 38r. Stock turbo was the first data published, 38r is second. Looks to be a great mod for a stock turbo, the only reason the 38r is being brought up is to see if it can replicate those results with a 38r
I have been following this on another forum as well & from what I've been reading, this wheel sounds like a great alternative to a 38R in a mild build. I am wanting to do stage 1's & thought I'd have to pony up $$$ for a new turbo until I saw the gen 2 WW!!

Yeah I did not know I would need a new Turbo to support my sticks. Wish I would have Been told that. No big.deal I just had them de tuned. Maybe I will get a new wheel or.Turbo some day.
As far as Longevity, its going to be a bit until it is brought to market if I understand correctly. Going to get some beta testing done before he brings it to market. However, all signs so far point that it will last as long, if not longer than the stock turbo. Afterall you are not changing the internals, simply swapping the wheel. A more efficient wheel theoretically allows the stock turbo to perform better which in turn would lead to better longevity. However as everyone with these trucks knows, theres a chance that something strange could happen in day to day driving lol

I don't want to get too far off track but what problems and what inj. do you have? My understanding is stock turbo is fine with 160's, up to a point. Welcome to pm me if you want.
I've got the new wheel installed. The turbo was in good shape but I decided to rebuild it because I wanted to. Also replaced the upper and lower pedestal orings.
The new wheel is considerably lighter in weight than the stocker. Batteries in the scale were dead but I saw 20 grams difference mentioned elsewhere.
Here you can see why I was looking at new wheels in the first place- FOD stock wheel from a previous owner. It's been like that for a few years at least but I decided to replace it.
New wheel installed:
Drove 25 miles, still breaking in the rebuild. I'll post some more feedback after driving it for a while and spooling it up.
