Site problem

First I am the farthest away from PCs but lately my provider, and or
internet has been awful. Its so slow its stopped. By accident I clicked on
this Google chrome thing and it is now instant but my user & password
does not work. Im writing this on my old acc. thats taking an hour.
I did the forgot my password thing got issued another and wont allow me
to do anything. And all my other sites seem to dump my user and password which have and have been always the same. What a pain to keep signing in, I gotta have a note book. Is there any fix for this. I
run a machine and truck repair shop but not computors. sam

I run on satellite internet and it is poor, slow at best most times. Google Chrome is the best I've found for a browser. It sounds like you may have to do a clean up of your computer. Someone more versed will be along to help.

I cant help you with getting our password reset. But to work around this simply click the settings button beneath the X in the top right > then click bookmarks > Import Bookmarks and settings. Then make sure saved passwords is checked and the your old browser is selected at the top.

I just did this, I normally use firefox and I am typing this in chrome, I never had to input my password.

I had a hell of a time with this site, for years I have stayed away because every time I tried to log on or do anything it would not work with me. I changed to Mozilla Firefox a while ago and its like night and day

If by switching browsers and you now have better browser speed then the problem is not your provider. It is your machine and more specifically your internet explore cache is full or filling up. You need delete some stuff. you can delete browser history and temporary internet files without dumping your passwords. Since your IE will not open go to the control panel find internet options then find delete browser history and then when it opens hit the the delete button in the middle of the box. There are checked items there. Leave everything checked EXCEPT PASSWORDS. then click ok or whatever it is. See if that helps you. Run a critical area scan on your antivirus if anything pops up then run a full scan. Hopefully your antivirus is running and up to date.

I have had problems lately here and only here, I will click on the link to our forum, to refresh my view to new posts. And many times it has shown "datbase error"..
On my laptop and desktop and even my computer at work.
Also I lost my email notifications somehow. meaning I didn't get notice of updates to threads I have subscribed to. I talked to Morris about it and checked a bunch of possible reasons, but a few days went by and it just started working again.

Alot of what goes on is how your Antivius handles the pop ups and splash pages. It is never the same everytime. I get it from time but it is rare.
I use a browser called Opera. There are alot of browser options out there so just pick one that works for you. IE is the main line so its quite crowded and slow because of it.

Jeff, I have been experiencing the same thing for the past week or so, including 5 minutes before I posted this.

I am not sure where else to put this, I tried sending to a moderator but its telling me the message is too long and wont accept it. Maybe someone will see it here than can help or someone can give me advice on how to get this fixed, here is the post I tried sending ...........Hello, at one point I was having great difficulty logging/signing in. I solved this by starting over again with a new user name. My old user name was 30 dodge. I made some posts and gave personal information such as home address and telephone number within some of my posts. I would like all of these posts deleted but do not know how to do it.

I tried using my wifes computer and tried signing in with that username but I still do not know the old password, I click on the request user/name password link and it only gives me one option which is to give my e-mail address and they will send me evidently my user name and password.

My e-mail address has not changed from when I was using my old user name or the user name I use now which is 1930 Dodge so I am not sure how that will help but I figured maybe they would just send me both user names and both passwords so I went ahead and did this.

It tells me that username and password have been sent to that e-mail address ( jhason2@yahoo.com ) but nothing has been sent there?

How do I delete all of these old posts? Thanks

I will ask if you have checked the SPAM folder in your email. The email could have been filtered into it.

Ok I went onto my wifes computer that does not automatically recognize me, used the user name and new password, worked great, found those old posts but there is no option to edit or delete.

What next? I did send a message successfully is a report post tab asking to get some sort of an explanation on how I need to edit these posts, lets see the response I get I guess
