F350 Shifting Problems

My 2003 F350 Superduty 6.0L Diesel wont downshift or upshift. It seems to be stuck in an upper gear. The tow/haul switch is flashing on and off. Any ideas

My idea is to take it to someone that you will have to pay to get the codes read. Without the codes all I can tell you is that something is wrong. The places that read codes free don't have the more expensive tools that are needed to read these codes.
