Need Help

I have a 86 f-350 with a 460 and borg warner t-19 transmission with just under 50,000 miles on it. The tranny was making a bad klunking noise so i decided to replace it. Found a used tranny nearby and installed it myself.
The job actually went very smoothly. I used a few extra long bolts with the heads removed screwed into the bell housing as guide pins and it slid right in.
Put it all back together changed engine the oil and filter, filled up the tranny and fired her up for a test drive. The thing made a horrible noise like something was grinding or rubbing and had a very noticable vibration to it.
Also the engine was reviing up much more than normal idle speed and would not kick down when I depressed the gas pedal. I shut it off imeadiatly and then restarted it. It ran as smooth as silk with no noise or vibartion basically perfectly normal. I shifted into first gear and rolled the truck a few feet forward and then did the same in reverse. It felt fine I then shifted to all the other gears to make sure that it was shifting correctly and everything felt normal. I shut the truck off and when I restarted it it was back to making the noise, vibration, again. The noise is constant and does not change when I depress the clutch. I don't have any idea what the heck is going on with this truck. Any Ideas on what I should do next would be greatly appreciated. I can't imagine what i could have done while installing the tranny to cause this problem, but it is a heck of a coincidece that it happened right after the tranny install.

See if the fan is rubbing the fan shroud. I am assuming you let the engine lean back to take out and install the tranny. Maybe there is something wrong with the motors mounts in the front or rear, and the whole asembly has shifted and the fan is rubbing the shroud. That's a wild guess.

Great call Franklin 2.
I found that the fan was touching the bottom of the shroud.
The tranny mount on the old transmission was shot and the replacement tranny mount looked like it was brand new so I left it on.
Upon closer inspection it looks like the tranny mount on the replacement is about 1.25 inches taller than the original mount and is tipping the front of the motor down. What a relief. I ordered a new mount and it should be in on tuesday. Great diagnosis Franklin2.
Thank you very much for your help I will sleep much better tonight knowing that I don't have to pull that tranny again.
