Thanks Ridenred333. Here's my latest mod to the BII. Changing the front 1/2 ton D44 to a 3/4 8 lug so I can run 8 lugs on the front like I have on the back Dana 70. But I'm running 15" rims so a complete change of Caliper and rotor is also in the works.
This also ment changing the spindle out to the 3/4 ton which has the larger inner bearing.
It will be the same as the back with the chevy K20 rotors and calipers. Even though the K20 rotor is larger then the stock D44 the calipers are smaller letting me run the 15" rims with just a slight manicuring (grinder) of the top of the caliper.
Need to make my own brake caliper bracket including getting the angle right for the bleeder.

Building what you have is a lot of work and most people arent going too. Especially on a bronco II but however I think it turned out great and is admirable.

Your right about the "lot of work". But I'm a retired Steel & Sheet Metal worker with nothing to do ha ha.
Below I'm starting to fab up the brake caliper bracket out of 3/8" steel plate.
Got lucky here, to center the K20 caliper on the K20 rotor I needed an offset of exactly 3/8" to the rear of the plate. So the part that will be bolted to the caliper is welded to the backside of the new plate which I have already cut the 4 3/16" hole out for the larger 3/4 ton spindle which will let me run the 8 lug K20 rotor.
I need to figure out how to add text below the pic, Oh well. Having a massive brain fart I suppose.
Also in this pic you can see the High Steer conversion that I did a few years back. Used a High Steer bracket made by Ballistic Fabrication, Heavy duty Chevy TRE that have a little more articulation built into them and then hooked up to DOM tubing.

Ok the computer was on full san and for some reason would not let me add text.

I mounted the caliper deep onto the rotor, so deep that the bolt/pin lays directly on top of the caliper. This is where I'll weld the top bracket. The bottom bolt is just a frog hair off rotor.

This will locate the pads below the top edge of rotor. Next I turned the rotor to find the high spots between the bolt and the edge of the rotor. Then what I did was to take my flapper wheel grinder and make sure there was air space between the edge of rotor and the bolt. This method is a whole lot easier then trying to shave the top of the caliper like I did the rear brakes. Now the 15" rim goes on with no grinding of the complete top surface area of the caliper.

Here's a pic of the bottom bolt.

To use the same stainless brake line that was on the Dana 44 caliper, I had to drill out the hole and use a larger 7/16" banjo bolt, this let's me attach it directly back to the K20 caliper.
Plenty more mods to come before I'll due some serious rock and trail rides this spring and summer.
Anyone going to the All Ford Nationals and or Truck Nationals this year at the Carlisle Fairgrounds come on by and say

Great Job!

Got an old 88 BII. Had it since 92. Only thing i ever did to change it was put 29x9.50 tires on it and a 8k pound winch on the front of it which i rarely ever used. Bet i can go everywhere you can.

Thanks about the great job. But I'm a little concerned about the last statement. Your not breathing in any exhaust fumes from leaks around the floorboard are you
