C6 rebuild
I am having my 390 rebuilt, should be pushing right at 400hp, and I will be putting it in front of a C-6.
Do I need to upgrade/rebuild the C-6, if so, is there anyone in Central Oregon that you can recommend?

New engine, 400 hp, YES!
I would have yours rebuilt or buy one already built. I don't know of any down where you are, but when I had my shop I bought dozens of trannys from a great place in Portland called Transmission Exchange. They'll build it any way you want and are great people to work with.
