Just so you know, there isn't much of a seal on the 3rd brake light. Its just got some thin foam rubber on it.

Bingo! Pulled the blower motor out and the chamber where the blend door is is wet. The foam around the door is wet. Then I went in the cab and checked this vent. It has standing water in it.

This is the far right side of the firewall, next to the passenger side kick panel.

Vacuum actuator switches just fine though... It is fairly difficult to change the temperature setting.

Should I suspect the actuator is bad, even though it changes positions?

I'm thinking the foam to the firewall is bad, if the actuator still moves with vacuum then all is good, I would just leave the garden hose over that area and see what happens

Oh... I sure hope not. That entails taking the dash out completely doesn't it?

... I believe so. Or I'm sure you could just loosen it up enough to shimmy in a new one if it is what it is

Well I am going to check the drain for the A/C as well as the heater core. If those look good I guess the firewall insulation is the likely culprit. Think they run in the neighborhood of $200...

What if you just did a clean job with some silicone?? Or at least tear into one at a u-pull for one and use it as a template to cut something thicker?

Pulling the dash is real simple, the first time I did mine was at three AM with only my cellphone as light and I did it no problem. You can do it if you have too.

Well I went out to check the heater core and the evaporator drain tube. Can't seem to find the drain tube. Checked the heater core. Looks like it might have been replaced at some point in time. Nice looking aluminum heater core. No leaks at all. Anyone know where the evaporator drain tube is? Do these trucks have one?

I had a similar problem and found it to be a combo of cracked seam sealer between the cowl and firewall and drip rails. the cracked seamsealer was impossible to find without removing the cowl. It was down almost behaind the fender
