Truckstock Location Poll!

To see where there is enough interest to develop plans... You can vote for more than one. I know it doesn't cover every area (like MT/ND/SD, etc) but if you want to suggest an area not listed, click Other. Look at the map to see what the choices are.

This is NOT for a SPECIFIC location, it's to see where the interest is. (Circles show approx. 350 mile radius)

It certainly sounds like a ton-o'-fun and if there was one in my neighborhood (#1), I'd do my best to attend. Even if she isn't running, I could always throw the Merc on the trailer and show it off. You could call it a queen if you want, it wouldn't hurt my feelings.

#6 would work for me, I may be pushing my truck to it - don't want to push it too far because my legs just aren't as good as they used to be...

Actually, I should have it driving long before then, just not finished.

Area 4 for me, although if someone in Montana hosted that would work as well.

I like this idea Ross, Do we have volunteers to host in these locations or just to get ideas of member activity??

I'm with Topmoo & The Hovarths - Texas is region #6. I would also
do S. California - #3.

If I were drawing Region 6 - I'd scoot it over to the left a bit to pick up
Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Dallas, Houston, Austin, & San Antonio - that would cover 85% of Texas 24 million folks & most of Oklahoma.

Good idea Ross. My vote would be for the area that provides access for maximum participation - not sure where that is, however.

Well regardless of where the official event happens, I'm still game to plan a regional SF bay area meetup. I do know that there are lots of members who live here or have ties to the area. It could be as simple as a coffee-and-doughnuts type get together or if there is enough interest, we could have a more involved "mini-truckstock' event (cookout, camping, etc.).

This isn't to identify "a" TS site, it's to see where regional TS's make sense. The circles were arbitrary, and obviously people can drive further than 350 miles if they want to. Clearly I left TX out of it, except maybe DFW area, and I doubt those folks would want to go to #4. Me, being in ABQ, would surely consider going somewhere in TX.

I think everyone at TS '12 agreed that a big crowd (100+) wouldn't be as good as a smaller group like we had. That's one of the things that makes regionals attractive. The other side of that is, shorter driving distances help make it so more people drive there in their trucks. That's an essential element.

If there are enough people in a region interested, then someone in that region would have to step up and "manage" the event (not necessarily host it). What works in one region may not be ideal in others.

I won't claim this to be a perfect poll. I strongly suspect there are enough guys along the Front Range to have a TS somewhere along there, but how do we figure it out?

#8, possibly #9 for me. Location worked for me this past time but had conflict with the date. I think that's another advantage of regionals. If they are scheduled on different dates then I've got a better chance of finding one where I don't have a schedule conflict.

Interesting poll. I voted 8, 7, 9, 4, and 5 in that order. I'd try to turn it into a mini-vacation. I picked more areas than most because some of you guys came a long way to my place this year, and I'd be willing to do the same for you. #6 would also be a possibility depending on the location.
