The Winter Truck!

The Winter Truck!
Just wanted to introduce my winter truck, witch will be replacing my '85 E350 Diesel van for winter.
It's a 1994 F150 SWB 4x4 5spd, 300 straight 6. Did a clean bricknose front clip swap to it.
Also, i'm gonna have abit of fun with this truck, making it look like a grandpa truck. As you can see, I've already started
Next summer will be a tu tone Brown/Tan paint job as well.
This is what the truck looked like when I first got it.
Poor thing was pretty beaten up and dirty.
This is what she looks like now!
Interior all cleaned up. Not to perfection, but I hate working out in the cold, further details will be worked out next summer.
Clean, good runnin Straight 6!
Oh and heres a pic after putting the bug deflector on
And don't think I'd be getting stuck anywhere with these on

I can honestly say you are the first person I have seen change TO the brick...
to each his own
Just givin you some sh** a lot nicer then all that cancer from before.
The dog dish hub caps really complete the grandpa look.
Oh and with that topper, you are really transferring the raper look from the van to the truck, lol You need a mattress for that baby.

My kid won't even let me take his 94 short bed same 5 speed and 300 for a spin. I wish I had another one as they are so much fun to drive and kinda remind me of my 79 F150 4speed 300 I had when I was 18.

you know, looking now.even the 8th gens (didn't go over that well by most at the time) still are better looking ford trucks than the 99-present super duty.
they still looked like fords.super duty to me,just means new dodge copy cat.cus thats what happened.

I was also thinking of putting aluminum running boards like that, but go full length, just so I can add lights in them, but since this is a winter truck, those running boards are bad for trapping salt and will rot the cab out, so i'm just going to cut out inserts into my tube runners and add lights in those.

The only thing I like about the OBS over the brick is the location for the power window/ lock switches. Admittedly it very much seems like an afterthought on the bricks. I like the nose and the dash a lot more in the bricks, it just seems more truck-like to me. I even like the split windows in the supercabs.
I think the SD's look fine, particularly the early ones but they just kinda have a cheaper feel about them than older trucks. I could live with a 7.3l PSD SD if I couldn't find an OBS. It seems to me that the OBS PSDs are more expensive than the SD PSDs too.
