time delay relay would be your best option. there are several different types ranging in price.

Old thread, but I've been wondering...
Did you ever install the timer relay? If so, how's it been working? Improved light life?
I also got another thought from looking over the various timer relay options, and I think I want to install a timer relay "OFF" switch on my flasher circuit so I can pulse the switch arm up or down without clicking it into the "set" position and when I release it, the blinkers will turn themselves off after a couple of seconds... just for lane swapping purposes.
