I have a basic 1966 F100, and it had a horrible hole carved in the dash. I don't believe it had one originally because of the other features that were really basic.
You might be waiting for a while. Bill PM'd me two days ago that he would be on a cruse for the next two weeks, and won't have reliable Internet service.
Fortunately, my PO mounted his radio using a bracket under the dash and did no major damage to the dash. They drilled a hole in the cowling for the antenna. I had the body shop weld a plug, finish, and paint over it. I looked at replacement antennas but could not find one with the right base angle. Besides, I wanted the clean basic truck look.
I will install a radio in the glove box at sometime in the future. I will use a hidden antenna or just use the CD player. The PO cut holes on the door access panels for 6 inch speakers which will get filled with recessed speakers and interior color matching covers.
the antenna holes werent all added at the dealer...the hole is an oblong one located on the RH side of the cowl...most were actually done at the factory...you cant get the uniform hole needed and located in the same place anywhere but the factory...the cowls were punched out I would assume as the cowl skin was stamped...with some unpunched for radio delete trucks.
So, if they were punched at the factory, and the dealership didn't put a stereo in the truck, did they leave the hole? Or as I theorize did they put some sort of plug in the hole?

The in dash hole for radio if ordered with radio was done at factory, if factory radio the dealer installed antenna and drilled the hole. A template was set over cowl area to locate proper spot. The dealer then plugged in the antenna after drilling the hole.
My truck came with factory radio but the dealer put the antenna hole in wrong spot.
So to make that clear even if the truck was ordered from factory with radio there was no hole in cowl it was done by dealer. So there is no factory plug for hole.
A very very simple process is to make a piece to fill hole, weld it in and grind and one would never know it was there. Of course some painting would be required. A plug could be made or found to fit hole if you do not want to go thru that time or expense.
I know about the dealer installing antenna's and drilling holes because that was my job out of high school. It was part of the Prep. Radio was already there just set template, drill hole and install antenna. Most were of the larger center hole and the 4 small screw holes which then had a stainless cover that was snapped on over base.
On the trucks the hole was drilled then a round file was used to make the notch so antenna would fit thru hole.
