New guy
New guy here from Norcal. I just picked up a 66 F100 long bed..not fleetside as i was already hacked for saying that. Picked it up from a guy in Ill. He put 52k..yep, you heard that right..52k into this thing and you would never know it unless you looked at the underside, ie, new 302 motor, new 5 speed trans. 4 link coilovers, power steering, brakes, He got way to deep into this thing and the shop really took advantage of him. He spend all this money on custome stuff but the cab is rusted! I paid 7k for it and now i need to find a cab for it.
I have a number of old muscle cars that are restored and a few others but have never done a truck before. So i will be asking for help from time to time. Already was told not to call it a Fleetside so got that part. If anybody knows of a rust free cab please let me know.

Hope the rest is nice 7k for something that has a rusty cab sounds a bit steep to me.
Cabs are out there. I have offered super nice rust free cabs for as little as 300.00 with no takers. That was me pulling cab. When I moved they went to crusher as one I offered for free . . . Same with nice Boxes.
Will let you know If I run across another.

Thanks for the welcome. I'm in Sunnyvale..not to far from you. Boss9, does that mean you have one? I have a 70 Boss 302. 7k seems about right to me. Just wanted something to play with..maybe do a little Hot Rod thing to it..plus it will be good to haul my dog around. Ya, if you could keep an eye out for a good one that would be great.

This is car I sold when I moved. This car was actually owned by FoMoCo as a Promotional Sales Car and had a few one off's on it. All documented of course. There were only 30 Promo cars built in 1970 this was one of them. AZ car too.

Very Nice!
Like the color. Mine is ' School bus yellow' and as you know thats really is orange. Its in the Boss reg. as the quarter mile record hold for 16 months..that's its claim to fame. I also have a 66 triple black vett convertible, also number matching. A 71 rs z28 Pro-Touring car. 55 suburban that has a 2000 Vett running gear and bagged, 88 BMW M3, 86 16v Cossi Benz and an 07 Lambo spyder. I have had a lot of muscle cars thru the years and they always put a smile on my face when i hear them run. Those 9's are getting harder and harder to find and when you do find a good one you are going to pay a pretty penny for them.
