drove about 1100 miles over wk end an while on interstate ever now an then there would be a bad smell come in to the cab strange smell, an it would leave , done it 3 times . has anyone had this before.an trans is changing strange ,when cold an goes from 2 to 3rd it shuts dn for a second an then takes off. an sometime put it in reverse an it jumps real hard.

Here is a TSB that is designed to address an exhaust leak, maybe it will help:
10-22-9***6.7L - EXHAUST LEAK AT EGR INLET TUBE - POSSIBE MIL ON WITH DTC P0299 OR P132B
Also, here is a TSB for tranny shifting irregularities:
11-7-10***6.7L WITH 6R140 TRANSMISSION - 2-3 SHIFT FLARE AND/OR MIL ON WITH DTC P0733 AND/OR DELAYED REVERSE ENGAGEMENT - BUILT ON OR BEFORE 4/11/2011
I have had the tranny TSB performed on my truck and it did smooth out the shifting problems I was having.
